2nd December 2008
Janice and Jacky have attended this conference in 2006 and 2007.
Sadly, Janice is not well enough to attend this year - although Jacky will be going.
It is a chance to get your views heard in a political arena. It brings together patients, health professionals and policy-makers to look at the impact of public policy on cancer services and research.
Download details of the conference.
Please consider attending. The bigger the voice regarding treatment for Myeloma Sufferers, the more we may get heard.

21st June 2008
The Velcade Three will be attending the York Myeloma UK Info Day to be held on June 21st. We always find these days very informative and helpful and are looking forward to meeting up with old friends and chatting to other patients and carers.
22nd June 2008
On Saturday and Sunday June 21st and 22nd a 60s weekend is being held at Haworth, nr. Keighley, with lots of 60s music and dancing, fashion, various stalls, face painting etc. One of the main objectives of the weekend is to raise money for both Manorlands, our local hospice and Myeloma UK. The Velcade Three have been invited to join in the day on Sunday by having a stall there to give out information and chat to anyone who may have questions or concerns about Multiple Myeloma. If you are in the area please come along and say hello, join in and soak up the 60s atmosphere and help make the weekend a great success.
26th February 2008
The Department of Health's Professor Mike Richards has responded to our letter which we sent last November requesting a meeting with him. The meeting is set to take place in London on February 26th.
All three of us are aiming to attend, health permitting. In his position as the governments National Cancer Director we hope to discuss and clarify issues that we still have concerning Velcade and future aims regarding our campaign. If you have any issues you want us to raise regarding Velcade on the NHS, please contact us and we will try and incorporate them into the meeting.
